The department has excellent infrastructure facilities to provide quality education and training in Information Technology. A technical symposium called “ICON” is organised annually to enrich student's learning.
Student's performance is assessed continuously through monthly tests, assignments and model examinations all undergraduate students are encouraged to work on individual projects as well as group projects as per the university regulations.
Computing facilities are available to students and staff till late night on all days. The department organises specialised training programmes in the advanced areas of computing in collaboration with enterprises such as BITECH.
The department also organises weekly seminars and lectures on advanced topics by leading professionals from educational institutions and the industry as a regular feature. Annual National seminars, lecture Programmes and Industrial visits enrich student learning.
